In Hokkaido the Ishiya Chocolate Factory is very famous. Sort of like Willy Wonka!
When we arrived we were greeted with gifts and chocolate biscuits. We also received stuffed black cats that mieowed - the kids were delighted with this!
We toured the museum. We watched the workers make biscuits from a glass viewing deck. We saw a collection of tea cups and saucers from hundreds of years ago.
After this we watched Ishiya workers boxing biscuits for sale - we were filled with hunger! And were keen purchasers of biscuits headed for Australia.
